More Than Just Acupuncture

Treatment Methods

Your initial appointment includes a thorough health assessment and lasts approximately one hour. Every treatment is personalized and may incorporate therapies such as electrostimulation (e-stim), moxibustion, cupping, and acupuncture. I dedicate my full attention to each patient, providing a comfortable, boutique-style experience where your care is never rushed.

Japanese Hari (Acupuncture & Moxibustion)

Japanese Hari is a gentle style of acupuncture that uses thinner, finer needles than those commonly used in other acupuncture traditions. I often use this approach to treat conditions such as insomnia, anxiety, depression, and stress, especially for patients who are sensitive to needles.

Exstore System

The Exstore System is a functional musculoskeletal assessment and treatment method developed by Dr. Anthony Lombardi. It is designed to identify neurologically inhibited muscles that are often the underlying cause of pain or injury. This approach combines electrostimulation (e-stim) with manual therapy to restore proper muscle function and improve movement.

Neijing Nature-Based Medicine

Neijing Nature-Based Medicine is a classical approach to Chinese Medicine that emphasizes understanding the body's relationship with nature and the interconnectedness of the meridian system. Through the teachings of Dr. Edward Neal, I have learned to evaluate the body from a deeper perspective and develop treatment plans for complex health conditions by addressing their underlying patterns rather than simply treating symptoms.

Other Therapies

At Canyon Lake Acupuncture, I offer much more than acupuncture alone. Acupuncture is just one of the many therapeutic techniques within Traditional Chinese Medicine that I incorporate into treatment. Every treatment is personalized, and I select the therapies that will best support your individual needs.

Some of the techniques I use include:

Cupping

I use soft silicone cups that gently lift the skin and underlying tissues to promote healthy blood flow, encourage lymphatic drainage, and release myofascial tension. Cupping helps loosen tight muscles, reduce pain, and improve mobility. I often use cupping before an acupuncture treatment to relax the muscles of the back and prepare the body for deeper healing.

Moxibustion

In Japanese Hari (acupuncture and moxibustion), direct moxibustion is known as okyu. This technique involves placing tiny, rice grain-sized cones of highly refined mugwort directly on the skin over specific acupuncture points. As the mugwort burns, it creates a precise, deeply penetrating warmth that stimulates the body's natural healing response. Okyu is traditionally used to improve circulation, strengthen the immune system, relieve chronic pain, and support overall health and vitality.

Your Treatments and Pricing.

Pricing

Your initial consultation and treatment are $120. Follow-up sessions are offered on a sliding scale of $80–$120. New patients may also choose a 30-minute follow-up for $40–$50, which is ideal for ongoing care and chronic pain management.

I want acupuncture to be accessible to my community, so I offer a sliding scale for follow-up treatments. If paying the full fee of $120 would be a financial hardship, you are welcome to pay anywhere between $80 and $120—no questions asked.

If you are seeking treatment for a chronic condition, I ask that you commit to a series of four treatments. Chronic conditions often develop over time and typically require consistent care to achieve lasting results.

New patients receive a free 20 minute phone consultation.

Conditions I Treat

Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine can support a wide range of health concerns by addressing the underlying patterns contributing to symptoms. I work with each patient to create a personalized treatment plan based on their unique needs.

Relieve Allergies Naturally

Alleviate allergy symptoms naturally with acupuncture and Chinese herbs, boosting your immune system and easing sneezing, runny nose, and itchy eyes.

Pain Relief with Acupuncture

If you're struggling with  an injury whether from sports, a car accident or picking up that too heavy package acupuncture can help to speed up recovery and reduce inflammation.  Please don’t wait until it turns into CHRONIC pain. The best advice I have is to address it ASAP.  Once your condition becomes chronic it takes that much longer to get back to your old self.

Support Pelvic Health

Do you wake up numerous times in in the night to urinate? Do you have pain from a pelvic surgery? Are you experiencing pain during sex? These are just some issues that can be addressed. Pelvic disorders can be a sensitive topic for both women and men. Please come for a consult to discuss any issue.

Boost Focus & Memory

Memory and foggy brain can get in the way of our daily activities. Whether it is due to aging, post menopause, or long covid consistent treatments can help in regaining focus and memory issues.

Facial Rejuvenation

I’m very excited to launch my new Facial Rejuvenation sessions. These sessions include facial cupping, guasha and facial acupuncture.

Experience Healing with Thai Massage

Thai Massage

Experience the healing benefits of traditional Thai massage—a unique form of bodywork that combines gentle stretching, rhythmic compression, acupressure, and mindful movement to restore balance and improve mobility.

Often described as "assisted yoga," Thai massage is performed fully clothed on a comfortable floor mat or treatment table, allowing the body to move through a series of relaxing stretches designed to release tension, improve flexibility, and increase circulation.

Thai massage can help:

  • Relieve muscle tension and chronic pain
  • Improve flexibility and range of motion
  • Reduce stress and promote deep relaxation
  • Increase energy and circulation
  • Support healthy posture and movement
  • Encourage overall physical and mental well-being

At Canyon Lake Acupuncture, each session is tailored to your individual needs. Whether you're recovering from physical strain, managing chronic pain, or simply looking to relax and reconnect with your body, Thai massage offers a deeply restorative experience that complements acupuncture and other holistic therapies.

Leave feeling lighter, more mobile, and deeply renewed.

About Drea Pacot, L.Ac.

My journey to becoming an acupuncturist began with a deep curiosity about the human body and a desire to help people heal in a more natural and holistic way. I was drawn to Chinese Medicine because of how much it helped me recover from a traumatic experience.

I received my Master’s degree in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine from AOMA Graduate School of Integrative Medicine in Austin, Texas In 2016.  I am a licensed acupuncturist in the state of Texas and board certified through the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM).

My clinical focus is helping people with chronic pain, injuries, and complex conditions that often require a deeper approach. I specialize in orthopedic-style acupuncture, using techniques such as motor point therapy, trigger point acupuncture, electrostimulation, cupping, and other manual therapies to support the body’s natural ability to heal. I also have a special interest in treating pelvic floor disorders, helping both men and women address conditions that can affect comfort, movement, and quality of life.

My training extends beyond traditional acupuncture. I incorporate Japanese Hari acupuncture and moxibustion, Exstore functional musculoskeletal assessment, and Neijing Nature-Based Medicine into my treatments. These approaches have expanded my understanding of the body, the nervous system, and the underlying patterns that contribute to health concerns.

I believe effective healing begins with listening. At Canyon Lake Acupuncture, each treatment is personalized, and patients receive my full attention during their session. My goal is to create a comfortable, welcoming environment where you feel heard, understood, and supported on your path toward better health.

When I’m not in the treatment room, I am also a flamenco dancer and teacher. Movement has always been an important part of my life, and my background in dance has deepened my appreciation for the body’s strength, balance, and ability to transform.
